I was born in a long time ago (1980, when the dinosaurs still roamed the Earth), at a military hospital in North Carolina. Having been raised in an Army family, I did the logical thing and moved to California in 2001 to be a hippy. Ok, ok, I wasn’t really a hippy, but I certainly found a more chilled out lifestyle in Los Angeles.

I spent nearly 16 years in LA and had honestly planned to spend the rest of my life there. I had a great job, wonderful friends and the perfect apartment. I spent 2 years decorating that little apartment and on the day I finally put the last picture on the wall I sat down on the couch with a happy sigh. And 2.5 seconds later I decided to sell everything I owned and move to London. Don’t ask me for logic, I have none.

I bought a plane ticket and within months I was in London. I had never been here. I didn’t know anyone. I just took the leap…and somehow landed on my feet. I quickly found a safe neighbourhood to live in and made friends. Then I met my soulmate and got married. Trust me, I was as surprised as anyone. I had given up and was prepared to be the crazy cat lady!

After over 20 years of working with animals, at hospitals and as a dog trainer, I decided to made yet another life changing decision. I decided to write. I had always been a big reader (at my high school reunion nobody knew who I was, until I pulled a book out of my bag. Then they remembered me: the girl that was always reading a book. It could’ve been worse. I could’ve been the girl that blew up the chemistry lab. Or the girl that brought a horse to senior picture day. Wait…I was the girl that brought a horse to senior picture day. Hey, it was North Carolina).

Most people admire actors or musicians or scientists. I admire writers and I wanted to be one of them. And so I became one. In 2018 I was given the opportunity to write for the sci-fi website Krypton Radio, and I found my home. Krypton Radio has given me the encouragement needed to branch out with my writing and for that I will be forever grateful.

And so here I am, telling the story of my adventures. I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoy writing about them. I hope that they encourage you to take that leap, whatever your leap may be, just like I did.

Join me in yelling at the top of your lungs: GERONIMO!!!
